Who are we?

Friends of the Birth Centres (FBC) is a community based, family friendly committee that, through networking, lobbying and fundraising, supports Birth Centre Programs in the Canberra region. We aim to empower women to make informed choices about the birth they want, advocating for improved access to genuine alternatives to a hospital and medically based care.

Membership is free! WE SUPPORT THE PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT YOU!

Purpose of FBC?

The purpose of the FBC is to:

• promote and support birth centre care with a known continuity midwife
• promote and support birth choice
• support families
• support the Birth Centres and the Canberra Midwifery Program
